One woman walked slowly in holding her son. He looked to be about six months old in size but older in his face. His head was badly misshapen and he had tiny features as if he has some sort of dwarfism. His looks aren't what got me to notice them. It was the way his Mother tickled him and swung him around and then kissed his face so lovingly and gentle. I feel overwhelmed by her apparent love for her child NO MATTER WHAT.
Next a Mother and Grandma passed us pushing a young boy in a wheelchair. He looked to have cerebral palsy. These women didn't walk with their heads down or avoid others gazes. They walked along with the air of being proud to have this boy with them and to be part of his life, good or bad. The Grandma kept touching his face and held his hand as they walked.
Lots of others walked by and by then I was thinking about my own children and how I would love them no matter what. Good or bad they are the center of my universe and I am proud to be part of their lives.
I want all the people out there who love their children or grandchildren unconditionally to know that their actions for good will change the world someday! This type of love will spread and everyone will someday know that the love that comes from loving children with all kinds of needs is the Saviors Love.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
Matthew 18:5
