| JoAnn, the epitome of the Spirit of Christmas . |
As a family we went to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights last night. Loads of fun with minimum effort. That seems to be most of of our family outings these days. We took JoAnn with us and seeing the lights with her made both Mars and I appreciate them even more.Above are a few pics JoAnn took.
If you don't know who JoAnn is then let me briefly tell you. When I was in the Young Women's JoAnn moved into our ward. We became intant friends and our friendship has blossomed from there. She lived with us for a few months after her family had to move during the school year. She really wanted to finish out the school year and so we offered to let her stay. It was a magical time for us. We realized that God sent JoAnn to us to help us prepare for our two little ones. She truly awakened our desire to be parents and taught us to love even more deeply.
JoAnn is a smart, fun, good hearted young woman and we treasure her influence in our lives. When she moved back with her family we felt her absence so deeply. Luckily for us she still calls every night to read scriptures, have prayer and keep us posted on her days. She is a part of our family and we look forward to watching her grow up and amaze us with her strong spirit and testimony.
