Sweet Lily

Lily came into our lives when were weren't expecting it. Lily found us and the time we waited for her to be placed in our home went fast and so smoothly. It took so long and we had to jump through sooooo many hoops for Iraia that Lily's adoption seems like a dream.

Lily Beth Kawai is a mellow, easygoing, happy girl. She only cries occasionally and has transitioned so easily from being a newborn to a baby to a toddler. Her nickname is Silly Lily and its because she is so fun loving and jovial. We could watch her for hours and never get tired. One of the most delightful parts of Lily is her laugh. She has the BEST laugh(See sample below)! The day Lily was born the skies were clear and the sun was shining so brightly. Lily IS sunshine and warmth. She is a very sharing child and loves to be with her brother.

As Lily has developed I have felt worried at times that she was behind in some areas. I have prayed a lot about this and the answer that keeps coming is that Lily is waiting for Iraia. She instinctively knows that he is trying to catch up and has waited for him to do something before she does it. For example Lily never crawled she scooted on her bum, just like Iraia. She used her left hand to push herself forward just like him and didn't start to walk until after he took his first steps. She toils not neither does she spin as the scripture says and that has made her relationship with Iraia stronger.

I will always watch her with pure joy and know that she was sent to us by a loving Heavenly father who knew we needed sunshine in our lives especially on the hardest days!
